Richmond Pharmacology is a leading CRO conducting clinical trials (phase1, phase2 and phase3) in medicines covering a variety of therapeutic areas. Our trials are increasingly targeting patient populations and many of these are managed as outpatients, so there is a growing body of work around managing outpatient appointments and scheduling follow ups. We have appointed a new Head of Outpatient Services with a long pedigree of managing outpatient environments in the NHS in medical wards and clinical trials environments and we are now seeking additional Outpatient Services Administrators / Outpatient Coordinators to assist in the management of this function.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be familiar with the regulations governing clinical trials and will have some experience of working in a clinical trials or similar research unit in the past, but this is not absolutely essential. The lack of such experience should not deter individuals who possess drive, initiative, flexibility and passion from applying for the role. You will be responsible for carrying out all administrative responsibilities for the effective running of Outpatient Services for Clinical Trials. The role will include ensuring all duties are completed to support the planning, coordination and completion of all on-going projects. This is a volunteer facing role, so communication skills must be of the highest order. You will be a warm, welcoming and naturally friendly individual, able to adapt to changing circumstances and effectively communicate with our volunteers and other staff in a professional manner.
In this role, you will be part of a small team managing all of the outpatient visits, including making travel arrangements where appropriate. You will communicate expectations and plans to volunteers and keep relevant departments fully apprised of any plans or changes to schedules that might arise. You will need to maintain accurate and detailed records for volunteers participating in our trials and should be comfortable reporting progress against targets set by the Head of Outpatient Services at regular and ad hoc intervals.
The outpatients team works hand in glove with the volunteer recruitment and screening teams and you will be expected to provide interdepartmental support at busy times.
If you believe that you have the skills and experience or the necessary drive and commitment to succeed in a role of this nature, please submit your CV and your contact details.
We endeavour to respond to every candidate, but the volume of applications that we typically receive daily does not always allow for this. If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of applying, please accept our apologies and assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
We have a great group of people that make up our team.
